Rules Newsletter
July 2007
Welcome to the premier issue of Be Heard! the newsletter for marketers
and entrepreneurs.
There are so many things we can do online these day that it begs the
question? just because we can do all this cool stuff, what
should we be doing? Internet marketing offers us a way
to access more potential customers with messages and offers
that are personalized to their specific interests. But there is also the
issue of getting so caught up in the online environment that we forget
about the rest of the world. You remember the world where people have
conversations in person and meetings in conference rooms. In this issue
of Be Heard, were
going to look at ways to avoid getting caught in the web.
There is a discussion about a few online tools intended
to make us more effective at getting visibility with our
customers. We
also get a perspective from Michelle Bonat on what it takes to be really
good at keyword campaigns.
If you have topics you?d like to see covered in future
issues, just drop me a note at laura@impact-mg.com.
And please feel free to pass this along to friends and
colleagues who need to Be Heard!
Thanks!

BusinessWire or PRNewswire. In the "old days" this type of distribution
was the only way for companies to broadly distribute their
news to journalists. Today, there are seems to an endless number of options? Read

CRM-light - can it really be for everyone?
CRM: customer relationship management. As the growth of online businesses
increases, the number of small-to-medium companies interested
in CRM is growing astronomically. Until recently, CRM has
mostly been applied in enterprise environments (otherwise known as really
big companies). The big guys have Oracle, SAP, and Seibel ? and these
vendors are trying to bring their mega-applications downstream, but frankly,
as a very small company, I'm not feelin' it....Read

The key to keywords - by Michelle Bonat
One of my favorite ways to get great marketing returns for low cost is
with key word campaigns. This is where you pay a search engine company
to show your ads when the consumer plugs in your keywords in their search.
Much has been written about these types of campaigns, but I?ll offer a
few tips that are frequently are overlooked... Read
more.
Thanks for your continued support. I'm looking forward to your comments
and ideas for future issues of Be Heard!
